About Me

I started my college education at a junior college where I obtained Associates degrees in both Business Administration and Psychology while working as an accounting/payroll clerk full time. I went on and transferred to Santa Clara University where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science Conglomerate in Finance and with a certificate in Proficiency in Accounting. I started my career working at a big accounting firm in San Jose where I fulfilled a bulk of my audit hours working in software, hardware and real estate. When I moved to the Sacramento area, I went to work for a smaller public accounting firm, BFBA and worked primarily with construction but also spent time with government audits and retail. During my time at BFBA, I discovered that my true passion was for cost accounting and I became more focused on the construction industry. The focus on one industry allowed me to become very well versed in those particular accounting practices along with the various software packages that are specifically designed for construction companies. With the legalization of Cannabis in California, my cost accounting experience became a natural progression into this industry and I have expanded my practice to include Cannabis companies as well. Acting as a CFO for a variety of companies as well as a business owner myself, I am able to help more companies establish processes, procedures and systems from the ground up.

With every client that I become involved with, I strive to keep their focus on what they do best (obtain new jobs and perform on them to their best abilities) while I focus on the financial aspects of their business. I work directly with the owners, banks, bonding agents and CPA firms to help bring the entire team together so the best management decisions can be made for the company’s sustainability and future growth.
